Every Move Counts, Clicks and Chats teaches communication partners new ways of listening to individuals with complex communication needs to develop functional communication systems. “Emc3” is a process, rather than product-based approach to assistive technology. It begins by identifying an individual's interests and abilities and then matches communication systems and AT tools to those interests and abilities. In this way, an individual with complex needs can be successful more quickly because they learn new skills around activities that interest them.
